American Rolex Sports Car Series is operated by
NASCAR. The series is the fastest growing
prototype sports car racing in the world and is
attracting the best drivers in the world,
inluding such greats as Tony Stewart, Jimmie
Johnson, Casey Mears, Scott Dixson, bobby
Labonte, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Bryan Herta,
Dario Franchitti, Jamie McMurray, Scott Pruett,

About The Team:
Based in Atlanta, GA, Hyper Sport Engineering is an entity with roots
in racing, automotive marketing, racing car
build and service, customer service and
engineering. Besides running their own race
team, Hyper Sport also offers services to club
racers, pro racers, and high end sports car
owners. Services offering through Hyper
Sport Engineering include; Rebuild and upgrade
stock engines, build full-race engines, race
preparation, trackside services, organize track
events, coaching, wiring harnesses, shock dyno
testing, roll cage installation and suspension
upgrades.
Hyper Sport Engineering partnered with Kirt
Wightman, former Director of Operations, for
Lotus Cars, USA. Wightman’s role with Lotus
armed him with the automobile brand as well as
the dealer network and owners. He brings a
wealth of knowledge about the types of products
needed in the Lotus market place as well as the
elevated needs of street and race car
preparation. As part owner of a Lotus Racing
team, Rapier Racing, Wightman incorporates his
knowledge of performance enhancements with the
development of the original Lotus product line
of parts for Hyper Sport Engineering. He is an
integral part to the performance parts sales end
of the business. While Lotus is a product line
that Hyper Sport Engineering will provide,
additional manufacturer parts will be available
online or at the Atlanta facility for sale in
the very near future. |

Joe Foster
Joe is a regular competitor in the American Le
Mans Series since the inaugural Petit Le Mans in
1998. Joe has successfully competed in various
forms of road racing around the world from
karting to Formula Ford 1600, Russell Mazda,
Formula Ford 2000, British Formula Three,
Motorola Cup, Grand Am and, of course, the ALMS.
Foster is also the Chief Driving Instructor of
the Panoz Racing School , one of the premier
road racing schools in the world. At the Panoz
Racing School , Joe oversees curriculum design,
instructor training and the competition aspects
of the quickly growing Panoz GT and Panoz Pro
Series race events. |

Rick Skelton
Rick began racing in college in 1984 and soon
moved up the ranks of the competitive HSR
vintage racing ladder and won a championship
there. His desire to race professionally led him
to the Skip Barber and Panoz Racing Schools
where he went on to win in the amateur series
run by each school. Rick then moved into the
IMSA-sanctioned Panoz Pro Racing Series where he
took 2nd place in the 2002 championship. He has
raced in front of hundreds of thousands of pro
racing spectators from Sebring , Florida to
Mosport , Canada . |

Jensen Motorsport Toyota Atlantic program.
Ryan is competing locally and nationally in
SCCA with plans to compete professionally in
2006. His accomplishments include Regional
victories at Infineon Raceway California in
addition to a well-earned National victory at
Daytona International Speedway in 2005. |

Spencer-Smith
Ryan began racing shifter karts when he was 14
years old and was awarded his Professional Kart
SKUSA license by age 15. During the year 2003,
Ryan earned his National SCCA license through
the Jim Russell Program in Northern California.
In 2004, Ryan earned his FIA International
Class C License after successfully completing
BMW USA's open wheel (BMW FB2) school in
Valencia, Spain. |

NC. Kurt Whitley , now crew chief and team
manager, was a drag racer when he met and
married Laurie. |

Laurie Whitley
After several years watching Kurt race, Laurie
expressed an interest in becoming a driver
herself. In 1992 they built her first car. The
rest is history. Laurie Whitley drives the sleek
Ford Thunderbird while Kurt does the mechanic
work and handles the “care and feeding” of his
driver. |
