TGB Coast-to-Coast
Challenge: Day 5, Effingham, IL to Springfield, MO

November 7, 2004 -
The weather was great today, so we made over 300 miles on the
TGB Delivery scooters. We stopped by the TGB Dealer in
Effingham, Mason Yamaha, but since it was Sunday, they were
closed. We are sorry to have missed those guys, they do a great
job of representing the TGB scooter line. We stopped off
in Saint Louis for a few quick photos after crossing the
Mississippi River. The scooters ran great going up and
down the Missouri hills. We ended the day by having dinner at
Hooters in Springfield, so of course Ryan and Rob had to talk
the Hooters girls into taking a picture with the scooters.
I think we should rename this trip from "The TGB
Coast-to-Coast Challenge" to "Ryan and Rob's Free T-Shirt
for a Photo Adventure". Check back each day for updates and

We stopped by Mason's Yamaha the Authorized TGB Dealer in Effingham, IL. They were closed because it was Sunday. The scooters turned over 1,000 miles before reaching St. Louis. The scooters had 1 mile on them when we started this adventure. Can you see the scooters? It was hard to get a picture with the arch in the background. We have plenty of pictures of girls! Ryan gave some free T-Shirts to some girls going to the game today. Between St. Louis and Springfield, Mo we were beside old Route 66. Here's a hint scooter owners. You can get people to let you take their picture if you give them a free T-Shirt and tell them you are riding a scooters 3,000 miles from New York to Los Angeles. Maybe they can start doing home delivery of the Hooters hot wings.
